After reading this book you will have a greater appreciation for the Whitetail deer and the archers that wait patiently to observe these magnificent animals. If you are a Whitetail hunter, it will become an invaluable aid to your hunting preparation and subsequent success.
The book (460 pg. paperback) includes information spanning 10 years: 300+ days in the field preparing for the fall; observations from 190 days in a stand or blind; data from over 700,000 pictures; and a large chapter dedicated to improving your ability to get close to one of North America's greatest animals.
This book can be read in several fashions:
-You can read every hunt that is accompanied with the surrounding data (i.e., sunrise, sunset, wind direction, temperature and moon phases, accompanied with a picture of the geographical setup and “The Hunt”).
-You can peruse the book looking for the “Daylight Mature Buck Sighting.” These highlighted “Daylight Buck Sightings” tell you when and where the mature bucks are during the season.
-You can find out how to get close and improve your chances to see more deer and harvest a mature buck.
-You can go straight to the appendices and read:
o The developmental history for each stand site with descriptions of bedding areas, sanctuaries, food and watering sources.
o The equipment summary.
o Or see the date and time graph of mature bucks spotted during daylight hours.
